The new cinematic trailer came out a couple days ago, and on it it shows a charecter dual wielding 2 weapons. And as I understand it you can not do that... Care to enlighten me as to whats going on?

It's quite simple, you can't duel wield in the game, but it's in the video for some reason.

As I said, Im quite aware they dont have the duel weilding in the game, but in the movie, thye do, Why? Could they be foreshadowing?

I think you're over analyzing that video.

But here's another one for you, it's called Guild Wars, but there's no actual guild wars going on in that trailer, just PvE.

Its to make the game look good and as it says in that post they will probably bring it out later along with amour proffeshions races etc...

The trailer isn't meant to be an accurate depiction of gameplay. The warrior jumped and the Ranger ran while firing his bow, but we can't do any of those ingame. It's just like the WoW cinematic where you can't do anything in that video except run.

Also, the elemtrantralist used her staff as a melee weapon. Can you do that in game?

I haven't used a staff yet but I think staffs are melee and wands are ranged.

its just a movie.. theyre just trying to make the game look cool, so if you saw that on tv, you'd go investigate their product... just all marketing

You never know what patches can bring. Maybe they will introduce dual wielding later on.

quick uestion, can you have two weapons on your character at a time? Not duel weapons..but like can i have a wand out and then when a creature gets close i change to my staff...?

Yep. You can have four sets of weapons to switch to during battle.

No.
Wand is 1 handed ranged.
Staff is 2 handed ranged, staff can be uppgraded with Staff Head, Staff Wrappings and some other uppgrade.

I think some things need to get cleared up. The video made were based on characters written up in the GW lore. The lore was created long before anything was ever finalised about the game, along with the loading screen showing Devona dual wielding.

Dual wielding may come in the expansions. In my view dual wielding will probably exist sooner or later, since one of the central characters is a dual wielder.
